Books and Discussion Guides

Our Paying Forward Kindness program is a powerful way to teach compassion, global awareness and kindness. This program can be implemented separate from our fundraising service. We offer books for all grade levels and the Paying Forward Kindness program is easy to implement in three steps.

1. Students are assigned one of the Children of Compassion books to read. The printed book or eBook is shared with students.

2. Teachers facilitate a discussion about the book using the  discussion guide.

3. Students have an opportunity not only to discuss the book with people in Africa, but to participate in a service learning experience to help orphaned and disabled children.

Additional options include the printed books, discussion guides, onsite "teach the teacher" support from a Children of Compassion staff member, and real-time interactions via Skype with children in Africa.

Often students will want to participate in an act of kindness to help their school raise funds. Schools interested in this option are encouraged to learn about our School Fundraising program.
